Behind the whitewashed façade there are communal sitting rooms with a wood burning stove, shaded patios, landscaped terraces and a plunge pool. Outside the seating areas are perfect for breakfasting on freshly prepared fruit, juices and eggs or enjoying sundowners. The upper terrace and pool have beautiful views across the town, the sierra and up to Archidona’s famous Sanctuary of the Virgin of Grace. There’s also the ‘Gallinera’, a converted chicken barn that’s perfect for hiding away with a book or making the most of the views.
Our spaces are created to give you a real sense of belonging here. Personable, comfortable, stylish and most of all relaxed.
Caring for our environment
Almohalla 51 is naturally temperature controlled throughout the year, but there is also efficient heating and cooling from fans for different times of the year. Hot water is provided by solar power and we don’t use tumble dryers. We recycle as much as possible and as the tap water here is delicious we can reduce our plastic usage.
During the renovation of A51 we used original and reclaimed materials along with local antique furniture to retain the integrity and character of the houses and minimise our environmental impact. Where possible, we support local businesses to help us run ours.
Check out this video about Almohalla 51.
Due to the number of stairs Almohalla 51 is unsuitable for those with mobility issues. Also, please note that we welcome children over 14 only, unless the whole house is booked – see Rates and policies for more details.
